Boggs wins Roger Breeding Memorial at 201

Boggs sweeps the night at 201 Speedway, by capturing the fast time, heat race, and the feature win.

The night started out rough. Track had A LOT of rain on it Saturday and it was super slick and dry. Cars had a very tough time out there. Corners starting to get ruts in them and qualifying laps where close to a whole second off what they usually are. Track record is a 12.85 and yesterdays fast time was a 13.8.

The 201 track prep guys come out and took care of the problem and put together a good racing surface.

The Grayson native took home $5000 last night, as he held off fellow Grayson native Josh McGuire for the win.

RJ Conley took the lead early and led the first quarter of the race, before the 4B of Jackie Boggs put the slide job on Conley to take the lead. McGuire later got 2nd from Conley and challenged Boggs for the lead, but could never find a way around him.

Surprise of the night was World of Outlaws rookie of the year contender Eric Wells showing up. I don't think anyone expected it, but he come out and finished 2nd in his heat and captured a 10 last night as well. Really glad he come, hopefully this isn't the last time we see him this season at 201.

Eddie Carrier Jr couldn't be there. I was told that he didn't have the car ready in time. Didn't get to see John Blankenship either, as a lot thought he may show up since his race shop is about an hour away from 201.

The best racing of the night come from the 4 heat races, especially the 3rd heat race, between Josh McGuire, Eric Wells, and Walker Arthur. Heat race #4 was very exciting also, as Shannon Thornsberry started 4th and took the lead in 1 lap on the high side. He was extremely fast in his heat race. Boggs & RJ Conley where your other two heat race winners.

Feature results (top 5):
1. Jackie Boggs
2. Josh McGuire
3. RJ Conley
4. Dustin Linville
5. Walker Arthur

Great night of racing at 201.... Congrats to Jackie Boggs on the win!
